The Downtown Clinic, located in Laramie, Wyoming, is dedicated to providing healthcare services to those without access to healthcare. The Downtown Clinic currently operates two primary care clinic days (Tuesday 9:00 am -3:00 pm and Wednesday 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm) and has office hours on Thursdays. The Downtown Clinic extends services beyond clinic hours with specialty clinics (orthopedic, dermatology, physical therapy, podiatry, nutrition, social work and counseling) and referrals to vision and dental providers. The Downtown Clinic collaborates with a multitude of healthcare and non-healthcare related agencies, businesses, fraternal organizations, non profits and entities in southeast Wyoming and northern Colorado.
Company History
The Downtown Clinic has provided healthcare services to over 6200 individual clients in Laramie, Wyoming, since opening its doors in July of 1999. With the belief that healthcare is a right deserved by all, regardless of financial situation, the Downtown Clinic has offered free primary care services on each Wednesday night for over 17 years. The Downtown Clinic clientele is limited to those without health insurance or access to health insurance, residents of Albany County, Wyoming or homeless, and with incomes less than 138 % of the Federal Poverty Level. To meet the needs of an increasing number of clients (less than 200 individual clients in first full of service to over 700 individual clients last year) the clinic’s services have grown, and it now offers prescription medicine services, nursing, counseling, emergency dental assistance, limited specialty care and social work.
